If properly cared for and kept in the ideal conditions, living root bridges have been reported to live for more than 100 years.
Although the steps leading to the majority of these bridges are well constructed, the journey can be quite difficult and steep. These stairs need at least 30 minutes of walking or climbing up and down.
These bridges have an elastic quality. These trees can flourish on rocky, uneven soils. They emphasise how inextricably linked humans and nature are. Over the bridge, these constructions can accommodate more than 50 people.
Dawki is a site worth visiting because of the lush surroundings, the chilly river, and the lovely suspension bridge over the River Umngot. Due to its significance as a border town, Dawki also serves as a significant hub for trade between India and Bangladesh.
According to the locals, the weather will be clear from December to March. Therefore, be sure to visit Dawki at the appropriate time if you want to view pure water.
Mawlynnong is a village in the Meghalaya state of north-eastern India's East Khasi Hills district. It is renowned for its cleanliness and was named Asia's cleanest village by Discover India magazine. The village is part of the Vidhan Sabha district and Pynursla community development block.
The spring and summer months, which run from March through June, are particularly nice. The temperature is between 15 and 24 degrees Celsius, which is neither too hot nor too cold.
Along with its natural beauty, Shillong serves as a gateway to Meghalaya, a region known for its incredible people, tallest waterfalls, caves, and gorgeous scenery. A major centre for education for the entire northeastern area is also quickly developing in Shillong.
