You will have the opportunity to visit popular Sri Lankan destinations such as Colombo, Kandy, Bentota, and Nuwara Eliya during this well-planned tour by Times To Travel.

Day 1 : Arrival in Colombo - Kandy (3 hours)

When you arrive at Colombo Bandaranayake International Airport, our tour representative will meet you and take you to your designated vehicle for the transfer to Kandy. Stop along the trip to see the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. A home for abandoned, injured, and orphaned elephants that is cared for by carers and volunteers. Walk up to a nearby river with an elephant herd to watch them play and bathe. Later, proceed to Kandy, the final capital of ancient Sri Lankan rulers. Kandy, set among hills, is the country's second largest city and one of seven World Heritage sites gifted with immense natural beauty. This picturesque city is home to verdant meadows, a magnificent lake, and Sri Lanka's longest river.
Kandy touring begins after check-in. The first stop of the day is to the Temple of the Tooth Relic, also known locally as Sri Dalada Maligawa. This temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world's most respected Buddhist sites. The Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, a haven for nature lovers, are next on the itinerary. Every year, nearly 1.2 million people visit this garden, which is spread across 147 acres of lush terrain. It is home to over 300 different types of orchids, medicinal plants, palm trees, and spices. Later, visit the magnificent Gem Museum, which produces the world's finest quality gems and semi-precious stones, including gleaming sapphires in a variety of colours such as green, white, red, blue, and even purple.

Day 2 : Kandy – Nuwara Eliya (2.5 hours)

After breakfast at the hotel on day 2, depart for Nuwara Eliya, often known as the City of Lights. This wonderful city, surrounded by lush tea plantations and hills, has been blessed with nice weather, colourful meadows, a green environment, and spectacular views of the mountains and valleys. This settlement is also known as 'Little England,' since it was founded as a typical English hamlet by the British. A country house-style hill club with trophies and hunting photographs, a formal dinner linen, a bricked post office, a horse race track and an 18-hole golf course are all evidence of this. When you arrive, check into the hotel.
Explore Nuwara Eliya's popular attractions, including as Victoria Park, the golf course, and the trout streams. After that, you can go boating and fishing on Lake Gregory. Your next stop should be at a tea plant to witness the manufacturing of the world's finest Orange Pekoe tea from the slow-growing tea bushes of this highland region. Other places to consider visiting include Haggala Gardens and Seetha Eliya. The latter is a temple from the ancient Hindu epic Ramayana, while the former is a temperate hill-country garden with languid low-country lotus and water lily floating in immaculate surroundings.

Stay in Nuwara Eliya for the night.

Day 3 : Nuwara Eliya – Bentota (5.5 hours)

The day is set aside for touring in Nuwara Eliya after breakfast. Visit the charming coastal village of Bentota, which is recognised for providing unforgettable experiences. Bentota, also known as the 'City of Golden Beaches,' is a great destination to unwind and share wonderful moments with loved ones. This location offers water activities, historical sites, and coral reef exploration through glass boats. After checking in, your day is reserved for a city tour and entertaining activities. Visit the popular beaches to unwind and soak up the rays. Take a leisurely stroll while taking in the peace and beautiful splendour.

During the city tour, take a boat ride along the Madhu River, where you may admire the beautiful environment and dense mangroves that cover various islets. You can also go to the Turtle Hatchery here if you want. The Wildlife Protection Society opened this hatchery in 1981, and it is the primary turtle breeding facility. Large tanks with newly born turtles can be found. When these turtle pups are 2 to 4 days old and have been fed, they are released into the sea, usually during the dark hours when it is safe.

Day 4 : Bentota – Colombo (2 hours)

After breakfast on the fourth day of the tour, prepare to return to Colombo, Sri Lanka's commercial capital and largest city. This busy colourful city on the west coast is a combination of colonial and modern influences. The city is filled with architectural marvels, including colonial constructions with British, Portuguese, and Dutch influences, as well as Hindu, Buddhist, Islamic, contemporary, and Indian monuments. It is also a popular shopping place for tourists. After completing the check-in procedures, you can begin your Colombo city tour.
