The serenity, abundant natural beauty, exotic wildlife, and adventure activities such as jungle safari, Kaziranga Elephant Safari Package Tour, and Kaziranga Jeep Safari have always drawn a large number of tourists and adventure seekers each year. Kaziranga, one of India’s best and most well-preserved national parks, is located in the state of Assam, on the banks of the mighty Brahmaputra River. This park is only about 250 kilometers from Guwahati, and the scenery is both picturesque and peaceful. Apart from the hustle and bustle of city life, this Evergreen Park provides tourists with a beautiful backdrop of the Brahmaputra River, making the Kaziranga Package Tour worthwhile. This popular National Park is best known for the Asiatic One-horned Rhino, an endangered species found in only about two-thirds of the world’s remaining populations.
This UNESCO World Heritage site is one of the best places to visit during the winter holidays because it brings you closer to nature and makes the entire Kaziranga Tour Package memorable. Except for the chirping of birds, which breaks the silence here, the absolute peace and tranquillity pleases the heart and soul of every adventure lover with absolute joy. With nearly 480 species of birds, wild elephants, tigers, gaurs, wild boars, deer’s, and reptiles, visitors can also enjoy many tea estates, handicraft souvenir shops, and the Orchid & Biodiversity Park, which is also visually appealing. In the evening, a traditional dance performance with various instruments and folk song depicts Assamese culture, which is one of the highlights of the Kaziranga Tour. So don’t hesitate. If you want to book a Kaziranga package tour, let Nature Wings help you.
Begin your journey for the Kaziranga Package Tour with a Meet and Greet at Guwahati Airport [GAU] or Guwahati Railway Station [GHY]. Kaziranga National Park, located 193 kilometers from Guwahati and covering an area of 430 square kilometers, is home to the world's largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses, as well as many mammals such as tigers, elephants, panthers, and bears, and thousands of birds. UNESCO designated it a World Heritage Site in 1985 for its unique natural environment. Go to bed early in preparation for the next day's early morning Kaziranga Jungle Safari. Stay at a hotel in Kaziranga for the night.
After an early wake-up call, you will be driven to the Kaziranga Elephant Safari riding point in the Western Range. From a stone's throw away, observe the famous One-Horn Rhino in the jungle. Return to the resort after the elephant safari. Drive to the Kaziranga Central Range after lunch for the Kaziranga Jeep Safari. The Central Zone of Kaziranga National Park is the most popular area for ecotourism in the Kaziranga forest. The central zone's entry gate is about two kilometers from the National Highway, which runs through the village of Kohora. The Kaziranga Jungle Safari offers spectacular views of rhinos grazing or wallowing in the large grassland, an elephant herd with adorable baby elephants to big old elephants, and many other species of the tourism zone's wild flora and fauna. Stay overnight in Kaziranga National Park.
After breakfast, depart for the Nameri National Park Tour, Assam's most famous Tiger Reserve. Nameri National Park is located in Assam's Sonitpur District, in the Himalayan foothills. Nameri is a well-known Indian National Park for birdwatchers and wildlife photographers. Stay the night at Nameri National Park.
Nameri National Park has an area of 200 square kilometers and is located in the Sonitpur district of Arunachal Pradesh. It is also the heart of the Nameri Tiger Reserve. Its beautiful deciduous forests, as well as the nearby river Jia Bhorali, form the border between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. As a result, this is a popular fishing and river rafting stop. Animals such as the Leopard, Clouded Leopard, Elephant, Gaur, Wild Pigs, Sambar, Capped Langur, and others have been spotted here. Stay at Nameri for the night.
After an early breakfast, depart for a tour of Manas Sanctuary or Manas National Park. It is situated in the Assam districts of Bongaigaon and Barpeta. This park is well-known for its rare and endangered wildlife, including hispid hares, Assam roofed turtles, golden langurs, pygmy hogs, and wild water buffalo. It was also designated a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site in 1985. Stay the night at Manas Park.

"Assamese khar" is a popular Assamese dish. It is made from raw papayas, chillies, banana peels, and the trunk of banana plants. There are several other methods for making khar with fish. It is an indigenous product, an alkaline-based Assamese delicacy. Assamese people cannot live without it, hence the moniker "KHAR KHUWA ASOMIYA." Other popular Assamese foods to try during an Assam Kaziranga Package Tour include Masor Tenga, Kumurat diya Duck Manxho, Xaak aru bhaji, Paro Manxho, Baanhgajor Lagot Kukura, and others, which are widely consumed and can be easily ordered in restaurants with food descriptions against the food items on the menu, as well as in authentic restaurants in the states.
It is one of the most well-known festivals in Assam, held on the 14th of April each year. It marks the beginning of the Assamese New Year, known as Bohag Bihu. In this festival, small villages enjoy sound, light, and music, as well as nice local pithas or local beer and meats served in large quantities, and the entire state of Assam, as well as neighboring states like Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh, celebrate in large grounds, parks, or banquets. This festival features both girls and boys performing traditional Bihu dances. It is one of Assam's and the North East's most joyous festivals. Although the festival lasts only seven days, the festivities last for about a month. Bihu dance is performed on stages throughout the state on a regular basis for nearly a month. Contact NatureWings if you want to be a part of this festival. We will plan your Kaziranga package tour itinerary so that you can enjoy this amazing festival while on your Assam tour.
From November to April is the best time to visit Kaziranga, or to book a Kaziranga Package Tour from Guwahati. Because Assam receives heavy rainfall during the monsoon and pre-monsoon seasons, the Kaziranga National Park floods in June, July, and August. It's no surprise that rhinos enjoy bathing and staying in water during these months. The water begins to recede in September and October, and the area reopens to tourism in November.
In this park, there are two ways to see these animals: jeep safari, which is simple and inexpensive, and elephant safari, which is much more exciting. It is mostly determined by the tourists' preferences. They can investigate both or just one, depending on their interests.
In Kaziranga, an elephant safari takes you through the Kohora, Mihimukh, Arimarah, Hole Path, and Bagori or western zone. The western zone of Kaziranga National Park is a highly recommended safari zone for spotting tigers and the famous one-horned rhinos.
Elephants can travel deep into the jungles to get very close to the Rhinos, whereas Jeep Safaris require muddy forest roads to get inside the jungles, so for a closer look at the Rhinos, the Kaziranga Elephant Safari is clearly the better option.
The main attractions of Kaziranga can be seen from a Jeep, which is usually accompanied by a guide or escort. The Kaziranga Jeep Safari is a wonderful ride that allows you to see tigers, one-horned rhinos, wild buffaloes, elephants, a herd of deer, Pythons, and many other mammals and birds.
You can book a safari permit by visiting the Kaziranga zone offices directly, but because permit availability is a common occurrence, it is best to consult NatureWings to book the safari for you in advance so that you can enjoy the safari conveniently and without any hassles when you arrive on your scheduled date.
Kaziranga Elephant Safari may be arranged at two different locations: the Central Zone, commonly known as the Kohora Zone, at Kohora, and the Western Zone at Bagori. Permits for the elephant safari can be obtained at any location, depending on availability. The elephant safari is only available in the morning, in three one-hour sessions from 05:00 am to 06:00 am, 06:00 am to 07:00 am, and 07:00 am to 08:00 am. The third shift (07-08 am) is only scheduled if there are additional tourists who cannot be accommodated in the first two shifts. As a result, the third shift is optional and is organised or not by the park authorities. Permits for the Elephant Safari in Kaziranga's western zone can be obtained from the range-office at Bagori, while permits for the Elephant Safari in the central zone can be obtained at the centennial convention centre at Kohora. The western zone is regarded the greatest zone for elephant safaris, and most tourists choose this zone to get the most out of an elephant safari in Kaziranga's deep jungle.
Yes. Kaziranga is one of India's few national parks where you can witness the Big Five: Indian Rhinos, Asiatic Elephants, Royal Bengal Tigers, Swamp Deer, and Water Buffalo. There are roughly 86 tigers in the region, although they are difficult to identify due to the dense elephant grass.
