Overview

Wokha is a municipality and town in the Indian state of Nagaland. It is the administrative centre of Wokha District and is located approximately 75 kilometres north of the state capital of Kohima. Wokha literally means “head count” or “census” in Lotha. It has a population of 35,004 people and is primarily inhabited by Lotha Nagas.
