Medinipur, also known as Midnapore, is a historical city in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is the administrative centre of the West Medinipur district. It is located on the Kangsabati River’s banks. Midnapore’s Urban Agglomeration includes the city proper, Mohanpur, Keranichati, and Khayerullachak.
