Kalimpong is an east Indian hill town in West Bengal’s Himalayan foothills. It is perched on a ridge above the Teesta River and is home to colonial-era structures such as MacFarlane Memorial Church, named after a Scottish missionary. The hilltop Durpin Monastery, or Zang Dhok Palri Phodang, in the south houses sacred Buddhist scriptures. Deolo Park features landscaped gardens and views of the surrounding hills.
