Agartala is the capital city of Tripura, a state in northeast India. Maharaja Radha Kishore Manikya built the massive white Ujjayanta Palace in 1901, and it has Mughal-style gardens with fountains. It is home to the Tripura Government Museum, which features 9th-century sculptures. The Hindu temple Jagannath Bari is nearby, with ornate columns and pointed domes. Rabindra Kanan Park, to the north, has flowerbeds and a puppet house.
