Overview

Tripura is a hilly state in northeast India that is surrounded by Bangladesh on three sides and is home to a diverse mix of tribal cultures and religious groups. The imposing Ujjayanta Palace is set among Mughal gardens in Agartala’s capital, and Gedu Mia’s Mosque has white marble domes and towers. The summer palace of Neermahal, located south of the city, sits in the middle of Lake Rudrasagar and combines Hindu and Islamic architectural styles.
