Surat is a district in the Indian state of Gujarat, with Surat city serving as its administrative centre. It is surrounded by the districts of Bharuch, Narmada, Navsari, and east Tapi. The Gulf of Cambay is to the west. It is Gujarat’s second most advanced district.
