Siliguri is a city in West Bengal, a state in northeast India. It is located in the Himalayan foothills, surrounded by tea gardens. The North Bengal Science Centre, with its digital planetarium and model T. rex, is located here. Surya Sen Park, named after an independence activist, and the massive, white-domed ISKCON Temple are to the east. The Salugara Monastery, located further north, is a vibrant Buddhist shrine.
