Kurukshetra is a city in the Indian state of Haryana, located in northern India. It is the setting for the Hindu epic poem “Mahabharata.” The great battle described in the text is depicted in a large diorama at the Kurukshetra Panorama and Science Centre. Jyotisar is a pilgrimage site west of the city where, according to the “Mahabharata,” the sacred “Bhagavad Gita” scripture was first delivered.
